SCSC was established by local community members who wanted to create an opportunity for local youth to play the game of soccer. Below are the names and bios of the key members that will manage the operations of the club.


Bill Schultz- Club President  
Bill Schultz is no stranger to the Smyrna-Clayton area. He has lived here for over 10 years and has been heavily involved with local community events. Bill is also the Smyrna HS Athletic Director overseeing all Eagle sports while also coaching the varsity boys’ soccer team. He currently holds a USSF national coaching license. 

Nitan Soni- Director of Coaching
Nitan Soni arrived here from Dover in 2007 with his wife and daughters and resides in Clayton. He is currently the Assistant Coach with the University of Delaware women's soccer team and has worked with many youth teams accross the North East Region. He currently holds a USSF national coaching license along with the NSCAA diploma.  

Christine Malec- Club Registrar 
Chris Malec has lived in Smyrna for over 15 years. She is currently a board member of the Smyrna School District, while two of her daughters teach within the Smyrna school system. Chris has been involved with youth soccer for many years as a club board member and travel team manager.    


Peter Hulem - Coach
Peter is currently the assistant coach for the Delaware State women's soccer team. He is originally from Rockville, Maryland but currently resides in Dover. Peter graduated from Wesley College in the spring of 2008 after also having a four year college career playing for the varsity soccer team.  Peter also was involved with local high school soccer as the head coach of Polytech HS.  Peter holds a NSCAA National coaching diploma.


Mike Osborne - Coach
Mike and his family moved to Delaware in 2007 after spending several years in Virginia Beach. Mike was involved with the local A league team while also attending seminary.  He now works within the Smyrna school district and is an assistant coach for both the SmyrnaHigh School boys and girls varsity soccer teams. 


Ryan Buchanan - Coach
Ryan and his family have lived in Smyrna since 2001. He is currently the11th grade English teacher at Smyrna High School and is also involved with the SGA. Ryan also has a hand in Eagle athletics as the head varsity women’s soccer coach.
